In satellites with multiple winners, your chip stack value = your probability of winning a package (under ICM). A chip lead doesn't guarantee first place. Understanding chip value is critical for correct push/fold decisions.
Short Stack Adjustments
With few players left, being short-stacked doesn't eliminate you from winning a package due to ICM. Play tighter early in bubbles (more chips matter) and looser on final bubble (all-in more often).
Chip Stack Dynamics
A medium stack near bubble often has best prize equity. Being chip leader can reduce your prize equity due to increased elimination risk. Understand that having chips ≠ having prize equity advantage.
ICM Calculations
Use an ICM calculator to understand your equity and proper play. Decision-making on bubble should be based on ICM values, not chip counts alone. Fold equity, chip equity, and prize equity all factor in.
Bubble Play in Satellites
Satellite bubbles are unique. Everyone folds until the bubble pops because everyone wants to win a seat.
Pre-Bubble Play

Final Bubble Tightness
